Brownfields Redevelopment Academy

Description

This online learning series gives brownfields practitioners practical strategies for improving community engagement, technical communication, facilitation, and participation in environmental decision-making. Across ten focused sessions, participants will work through common challenges—from reaching people who are often missing from engagement processes to communicating risk and uncertainty, navigating difficult conversations, and creating decision-making processes where community knowledge can meaningfully shape outcomes. Each event is designed around concrete practices and a usable tool participants can apply directly in their own work.

The available programming will also include two additional sessions focused specifically on PFAS contamination. These sessions will cover distinct technical content separate from the community engagement series, expanding the range of learning opportunities available to participants.
