Introduction to Entomology - Texas

 

Description

Specifically, focuses on the morphological features used to classify arthropods, morphology related to the identification of insect Orders (including their life cycles and feeding), the identification of common insects, with an emphasis on those that affect plant and animal health, basic insect ecology, internal anatomy, behavior, social behavior, sensory systems, communication and learning, predator-prey dynamics, parasitism, and the basics of economic entomology, including injury, level, integrated pest management (IPM), types of insect control, and the concepts of beneficial and pest insects.

Introduction to Entomology introduces you to content through modules. Content requires approximately 45 to 60 hours to complete. Learning assessment will be conducted through learning activities. To successfully complete the microcredential and earn a digital badge, you must achieve a minimum passing score of 80%.
